Check24 Managing Director Henrich Blase described the jersey campaign as the “biggest marketing campaign in Check24’s history”. With this campaign, the Check24 app has been leading the app store charts for weeks.
The comparison portal, which originally started out in the insurance business, is now one of the big players in the travel and mobile phone market. Following the European Championship betting game, there will be a Bundesliga betting game and a streaming comparison in the future.
In the year of the European Championships, Check24 wanted to stand out. Originally, 1.5 million jerseys were planned, but due to high demand, the number was increased to five million. The campaign has now ended and the jerseys are being offered on eBay for between 15โ‚ฌ and 85โ‚ฌ.

To receive the jersey, you had to download the Check24 app. There were numerous winners on each match day of the European Championship betting game, most of whom received travel vouchers. Check24 tries to retain as many new customers as possible. The campaign reportedly cost around 50 million euros, PLUS a considerable marketing budget. Overall, industry insiders estimate the costs at around 100 million euros.

Check24 uses creative marketing channels and avoids wastage through an international audience. Adidas pays around 50 million euros per year for the DFB partnership, Nike even pays twice that amount from 2027.
Ironically, Puma is stealing the show from the three-stripe group with this campaign. Adidas sold three million jerseys in 2014 – a record that Check24 and Puma have now easily surpassed.
