At the end of each month, Google publishes a short report on what was searched for particularly frequently in Germany that month. We have summarised the most exciting results from September for you here:
☑️ Questions on the topic of the Bundestag elections were particularly popular last month and recorded strong growth. Interesting here: According to Google, no previous federal election was searched for as often as this one.
The question that saw the biggest growth after the election was “What happens now after the election?
🏝️ “La Palma”, the island on which a volcano erupted in mid-September, was googled around ten times more often than in the previous month.
🎤 The band ABBA was searched for six times more often than in the previous month.
🍂 Autumn also made its way into the search queries in Germany. Here, the interest was more than twice as high.
