As a full-service digital provider, we are always on the lookout for exciting news and developments in e-commerce. This week we stumbled across a study by the European business network “Cross-Border Commerce Europe”, which ranks the e-commerce revenues of 16 European countries according to their cross-border share.
Here is a quick overview of the results:
🏅 Luxembourg was at the top of this list: a full 81 % of e-commerce revenues are generated abroad.
🛒 In Germany, meanwhile, the share of e-commerce sales generated abroad rose to “only” 26 %.
🏡 The Dutch prefer to shop “at home”. Here, the share of cross-border e-commerce sales is only 16 %.
🤔 By the way, it’s also good to know that 44% of the e-commerce turnover generated abroad mentioned here is via marketplaces.
💭 How does it look for you? Do you pay attention to where your dealer comes from or is only the price and quality decisive for you?
